Light, fresh, and full of vibrant flavor — Gỏi cuốn, Vietnam’s famous summer rolls, are a true symbol of balance and simplicity. Originating in Southern Vietnam, especially the lush Mekong Delta, these delicate rice paper rolls are a beloved appetizer and a refreshing choice for a light meal or healthy snack.

 

 

In this hands-on cooking class, you’ll learn how to work with soft rice paper and fresh ingredients to create beautifully rolled fresh, un-fried spring rolls. You’ll discover how to fill them with rice noodles, vegetables, herbs, and your choice of tofu, fish, or meat, and how to serve them with traditional dipping sauces such as peanut, hoisin, or fish sauce for the perfect finishing touch.

 

The class is paired with Gỏi đu đủ, a crisp and zesty green papaya salad that complements the summer rolls with its refreshing flavors and textures. Together, these dishes capture the essence of Vietnamese cooking — light yet satisfying, simple yet full of character.

 

 

By the end of the class, you’ll have learned how to prepare, roll, and serve traditional summer rolls, how to balance sweetness, saltiness, and acidity in dressings, and how to combine fresh herbs and vegetables to create harmony on the plate. You’ll leave inspired to recreate these refreshing dishes at home — perfect for warm days, shared meals, and moments of relaxed enjoyment.

 

The course languages are English and Vietnamese.
