Teaching English in the Age of AI

This practical workshop is open to English language teachers in adult education who wish to strengthen their AI literacy and digital competencies for modern language teaching.

Participants will explore how generative AI and digital tools can enhance lesson planning, differentiation, material creation, and assessment. The workshop also equips teachers to guide and support their learners in using AI and digital tools responsibly, effectively, and critically.

Through hands-on activities and real classroom examples, teachers will develop ready-to-use materials and practical strategies tailored to English language instruction. Ethical considerations, data protection, and the pedagogical role of AI are integral parts of the course.

The aim is to build confidence in navigating digital transformation — both for teachers themselves and for the learners they support.

Im Rahmen des Bayerischen Gesetzes zur Förderung der Erwachsenenbildung (BayEbFöG) werden in diesem Jahr Veranstaltungen zum Schwerpunktthema “Digitalisierung und Medienkompetenz“ gefördert. Diese Veranstaltung wird daher aus Mitteln des Bayerischen Staatsministeriums für Unterricht und Kultus finanziert.
