Ready to continue your Japanese journey?

This course is suitable for learners who already have a basic foundation and would like to gain more confidence using Japanese in everyday situations.

If you already know Hiragana and Katakana and have completed the first steps of beginner study, this course will help you further develop your basic Japanese skills step by step.

In this course, you will learn:

• understand and use simple everyday expressions
• talk about hobbies, daily routines, and free time
• make simple plans and invite others to activities
• use transportation, ask for directions, and explain how to get somewhere
• describe places and towns, talk about locations, and understand simple information about shops and facilities
• participate in short, guided conversations
• improve your reading and writing of Hiragana and Katakana

We use two textbooks in class:

1. Marugoto: Starter A1 Rikai
   ISBN 978-3-87548-708-4
2. Marugoto: Starter A1 Katsudoo
   ISBN 978-3-87548-707-7

The Marugoto textbooks are written in Japanese and English.

Please buy the textbooks yourself and bring them to your first lesson.
