NEW! English Conversation through Films B2

This B2/C1 English conversation course uses the legendary films of Alfred Hitchcock as a springboard for discussion, vocabulary building, and cultural exploration. Over 9 sessions, you will watch and analyze classic thrillers such as Vertigo, Rear Window, Psycho, and North by Northwest. Each class blends targeted language practice with lively conversation, film analysis, and creative activities.

You will expand your vocabulary related to suspense, psychology and mystery, sharpen pronunciation and fluency, and strengthen critical thinking skills by debating themes such as morality, fear, deception, and identity.

This course offers both improved communication skills and a deep cultural dive into film as a global art form.

You will watch films between sessions, with flexible viewing options: borrowing from local libraries (films, streaming online, or purchasing a DVD set. Each option will incur some additional costs.

Note: Students are responsible for independent film viewing (streaming/rental). Optional group screenings at the Filmhaus Nürnberg will be organized throughout the duration of the course, but outside course hours (additional ticket cost applies).
