“Where’s Fürth?”, proud Nurembergers used ask. However, there’s more to “Suburb West” than one may assume. Older than Nuremberg it offers a wide range of lovely buildings from various periods and interesting stories from many centuries. Fürth is really worth visiting not only for Kärwa.

Irene Ramorobi: English teacher in practice; historian at heart. Irene grew up in Nuremberg, studied history, specialising in Bavaria and Franconia, and has spent over 18 years teaching English at the BZ Nuremberg, giving tours and lectures.
