B2 First Preparation (FCE)

B2 First Face-to-Face Crash Course:

This course will prepare you for the FCE examination in April. Your level of English should be between the middle and the end of B2. The training will concentrate on the exam format and on the various tasks you have to deal with in the exam. Come prepared to work intensively on targeting your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills with feedback in the lessons as well as doing regularly additional exam preparation at home.

The general level of the exam is close to "Abitur" although different tasks are involved. There are tests of reading comprehension, vocabulary and structure, writing (email or letter plus either report, review or essay), listening, speaking (pair interview).

Cambridge English Qualifications

The examinations test your spoken and written English, your understanding of authentic reading and listening texts and your knowledge of vocabulary and grammatical usage. Our preparatory courses normally start in September or February and participants can take the examinations in Nürnberg in November/December or May/June. There is no obligation to take the exam. The courses will help you to be more confident about English grammar, and develop your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
