In the city of Nuremberg, artists have their finger on the pulse of time! Together we want to discover new things, look at them carefully and discuss them in-depth. We will visit exhibitions, studios and galleries, or explore public spaces.

In November we'll be looking at the works of Jamel Shabazz.

The photographs by Jamel Shabazz (born 1960 in Brooklyn, NY) focus on people from Black communities and communities of colour in New York City. Through powerful yet sensitive portraits, Shabazz documents various aspects of their lived realities and social contexts. His photographs exude a deep sense of empathy and intimacy. They surprise the viewer with extraordinary moments captured in urban spaces and reveal just how important these public places are to the people he portrays. Shabazz’s work bears witness to a deep appreciation for his subjects; his photography visibly reflects their openness and recognition.
