The City fortification is one of the biggest historic buildings of Nuremberg, that protected and limited Nuremberg. Learn more about the defence of Nuremberg in Early Modern Times, how it was used from the 19th century to now.

Irene Ramorobi: English teacher in practice; historian at heart. Irene grew up in Nuremberg, studied history, specialising in Bavaria and Franconia, and has spent over 20 years teaching English at the BZ Nuremberg, giving tours and lectures.
